July 30, 2024 – press event with the twin models of Juravenator

The models were finally completed, so we couldn't resist going to the tourist sign on the freeway before delivery and doing some educational work: The strange object next to the city view is the fossil of Juravenator, a complete dinosaur on display in the Jura Museum Eichstätt. After the photo session with the Altmühltal Nature Park, that's exactly where we went: Accompanied by our District Administrator Alexander Anetsberger, Museum Director Dr. Christina Ifrim and media reporters, one of the two models made its way to the showcase right next to the original fossil. And it stands on original Jurassic limestone, just as it once rose as an island from the shallow reef area.
